While sightseeing, Charlotte saw a ragged puppy. The image of a fluffy, furry puppy tugged at the woman’s heart. So, she did what any sympathetic person would do.
Charlotte approached the cute puppy and fed it. She did it for a few days before deciding that the adorable pup was ready to be rescued. After seeking help from locals, she bought a cage to help catch her. The next morning, the woman kept little Delilah in a cage so she could get her help.
Due to the poor skin condition, Delilah sought immediate medical attention. Overnight she seemed to get better, and the best part – she already had a mom waiting to take her home! Delilah’s new mother, Amelia, took one look at Delilah and knew she was going to have a forever home. After weeks of treatment and a lot of medication, Delilah’s fur began to grow back and her spirits began to recover.
When Amelia was finally able to bring her home, the puppy followed her around the house and became her shadow. Slowly, Lila’s playful personality emerges as she continues to recover.
“She’s not a great guard dog because she wants to meet everyone and play with everyone…but Lila and I hit the jackpot,” Amelia said. As she gets closer to her master, so does her story. Today, Delilah has her own Instagram page with over 12,000 followers who love her miracle stories!
